Vet Practices - Animal Rescues - Other

Services for veterinary practices

I have significant experience in training and providing CPD for vets, vet nurses, vet students and vet nurse students. Both virtually and in-person I have developed a relaxed, yet comprehensive presentation style to ensure attendees always have a fun and beneficial time at any session I am running. I have had the pleasure of presenting for various vet schools across the UK, presenting at Association of Charity Vets events alongside other significant industry events such as ADCH conference and BVBA study days.

The two primary areas of support I can provide for vet practices are:

1. Support and training for staff including vets, vet nurses and administrative staff

Do you want to upskill your practice staff and provide CPD for them in the areas of canine and feline behaviour and welfare? I can tailor training sessions to be delivered virtually or in-person and on a requested subject. Sessions I have run for vets and vet nurses previously include, but are not limited too:

-Improving the veterinary experience for cats

-Underlying medical issues that can affect certain behaviours

-Benefits of husbandry training for animals

-Understanding feline aggression

-Behaviour case study reviews

-Importance of socialisation

-Learning theory

2. Vet practice client education and training sessions

Do you want to offer more to the clients that engage with your clinics? Do you want to offer engagement and education evenings? I can present on many exciting cat and dog behaviour topics to help the general public improve the welfare of animals in their care. These fun and informative sessions can help owners understand their pets better whilst helping build a stronger bond between owners and your veterinary clinic.

Consultations for rescue & rehoming/shelter organisations

Animal shelters across the UK and globally vary significantly in their set-up, funding, operational design and purpose. As such it is important to work with shelters in a bespoke and considered fashion. I have significant experience working in animal behaviour and welfare with a variety of different animal charities and I am confident I can support you whatever your need is.

Whether you need behaviour advice for specific animals in your care, training for staff & volunteers or support in designing standard operating procedures for your shelter around behaviour and welfare, I can help. Get in contact and we can discuss what you are looking from a consultant and how we can go about making positive changes within your organisation.
